Cops Bust World's Worst Counterfeiting Operation
Police in Idaho have recovered $1 billion in fake bills of $1 million after a man attempted to deposit them at a local bank as collateral on a loan.
The Police were baffled at the seizure of 999 bills printed to resemble the "horse blanket" silver certificate notes of 1923 with an alleged value of one million dollars. Police Chief Jim Munn told reporters "This is just absolutely comical."
Munn also stated however that the bills were "actually better quality than we normally see on counterfeit notes" however adding "It would have been remarkable if anyone would have accepted them as legitimate".
